CAM ball valves feature a simple, user-friendly design that allows for quick and easy parts replacement, requiring minimal plant shutdown.
CAM valves can be supplied, upon request, with sealant injection on the seat and stem sealing areas.
Full-port ball valves are ideal for pigging operations and provide maximum flow capacity. The design ensures high-performance flow in both liquid and gas services, regardless of the media type.
Stem extensions are provided to position the stem sealing area away from extreme temperatures, ensuring reliable sealing performance. They also allow easier valve operation in insulated or hard-to-reach installations.
CAM ball valves feature a fire-safe design compliant with API 607. If non-metallic seats are damaged by fire, the upstream seat is forced against the ball, sealing the line and preventing internal leakage. Fire-safe gaskets on all static and dynamic seals ensure external leak prevention, providing reliable performance under extreme conditions.
The anti-blowout stem design guarantees that the stem remains securely in place, even during maintenance under pressure, providing maximum safety and operational reliability.
Optimized seat design, stem bearings and sealing arrangements work together to reduce operating torque, making CAM valves easy to operate while maintaining reliable sealing performance.
The triple stem sealing design combines dual O-ring barriers with a graphite third barrier, providing maximum reliability, leak prevention and durability. Customized sealing solutions are available for specialized applications.
CAM valves feature an antistatic design that safely dissipates any static charge by connecting the body, ball and stem via coil springs. This ensures safe operation even in sensitive or hazardous environments.
Optional locking facilities are available to secure the valve in the desired position, preventing accidental operation and enhancing overall safety.
CAM valves feature dual fire-safe sealing barriers: a soft O-ring primary seal and a secondary graphite or spiral-wound seal. This combination ensures reliable sealing under extreme conditions, with options for customized solutions to match your operational needs.
The mechanical stop ensures perfect seat-to-ball alignment, providing smooth operation, optimal sealing and maximum reliability throughout the valve’s service life.
For safe handling and secure installation, CAM valves feature lifting lugs for heavy valves and supporting feet for 6” and larger trunnion valves. Custom configurations are available to meet specific customer requirements.
ISO 5211 top mounting on all valves.
Each CAM trunnion ball valve seat features a single piston effect, where line pressure enhances the seat’s contact with the ball for optimal sealing. The self-relieving design automatically vents excess cavity pressure, ensuring safe operation and long-lasting valve performance.
For enhanced sealing performance, CAM valves can be fitted with a double piston effect (DPE) seat. The recommended setup features a DPE seat downstream and a self-relieving seat (SPE) upstream, combining a double sealing barrier with automatic cavity pressure relief for safe and reliable operation in demanding applications.
Seat seal may be designed to provide additional sealing capability: the cavity pressure enhances the contact pressure between seat and ball, as the differential area A=B-C creates a piston effect forcing the seat on the ball.
